Come and join us for this partial eclipse viewing event! PHAS ASTRO faculty and students will be on-site to share information and to lend you eclipse glasses to view the eclipse.

UBC Partial Eclipse Event:
Date: Monday, April 8th, 2024
Time: 10:00am – 12:30pm
Location: in the plaza area between the UBC Bookstore (6200 University Blvd) and the UBC Alumni Centre (6163 University Blvd)

Who will be there: Department of Physics & Astronomy ASTRO Faculty and students will be your guides to what is happening during this eclipse, and how to view it safely!

Equipment: eclipse glasses, two solar telescopes and edible pin-hole cameras for kids!
