Entry for fredag maj 27, 2005

Media day at the highbay.
We've made the big time — the Norrbottens-Kuriren, a Northern Sweden paper. "Gigantisk ballong" indeed (see lower-middle).
Holy smokes, we're all famous. "Det tar månader att hämta sig från uppsläppet", says Barth. But what's this about Star Wars?
The transponder Esrange attached to BLAST, which will send out a signal to tell airplanes what the large hunk of metal way up above their heads is. We would really like to know what the upper-left flag represents. Breaking News: it's Bavaria! Of course... it makes complete sense to display a Bavarian flag on BLAST.
Kaffeost, or coffee-cheese, a Northern-Swedish delicacy, according to our housekeeper. I found it to be surprisingly tasty.
Apparently the Sun set for the last time last night. We are officially into 24-hour daylight. Today is 24 hours and 0 minutes long. Tomorrow will be 18619135 minutes and 42 seconds longer. That's going to be a long day.
