Colloquia/Seminar Series

	The Departmental Colloquia are normally held in Hennings 201 at 4:00 on Thursdays; coffee and cookies will be served at 3:45 in Hennings 325 Current Schedule Older Schedules

	The Astronomy Colloquium Series Speakers engaged in exciting research in Astronomy & Astrophysics are invited to discuss their results with the astronomy group. Everyone is welcome to attend these talks. Normal day/time: Mondays,at 4:00pm in Hennings 318 Coffee and cookies are served at 3:45 pm. Current schedule Older Schedules

	The Theory Seminars are presented by the UBC Theory group and the Pacific Institute for Theoretical Physics. Content includes current topics in theoretical physics. Coffee and cookies are served. Normal day/time is Monday at noon in Hennings 318 Upcoming talks Older Schedules

	Quantum Information Seminars are currently presented by Robert Raussendorf and includes current topics in quantum computational research. Though these talks are typicially on front line research and as such the technical level may be high, but all are welcome to attend. Current Schedule

	The Gravity Seminars The Gravity group offers seminars by researchers (both local & visiting) discussing current advances in General Relativity, Quantum Gravity, Relativistic Astrophysics and related areas. Normal day and place is Thursday at noon in Hennings 318. Upcoming talks

	The Biophysics Meetings These seminars are usually offered by UBC biophysics researchers at all levels, with the occasional participation of visiting scientists. Current schedule Last Year's Schedule

	The Condensed Matter Seminars The Condensed Matter group invites researchers (both local & visiting) to discuss current advances in the field. Normal day is Thursday at 1400 in Hennings 318. Current schedule Older Schedules

	AMO Seminars The Atomic Molecular & Optical Phyiscs group hosts a discussion forum on current research. Normal day is Thursday at 1730 in Chem C-124. Current schedule Older Schedules

	Teaching and Learning Support Drop-In Bring your questions and ideas about teaching and learning to discuss with CWSEI fellows. Get advice and support on instructional methods, assessment, technology, resources and more. Every Thursday from 1-3 pm in Hennings 334. Current schedule

	Graduate Students Seminars A series of seminars run by and tailored for the graduate students Current schedule

	TRIUMF Talks TRIUMF offers a wide variety of seminars given both by world-class scientists who are visiting the laboratory and by those who work at TRIUMF. The general TRIUMF Seminars are meant to be accessible to all physics graduate students. Current schedule

	Special Talks The Special talks are presentations that do not fit in our other classifications. Typically they given in support of a job application.
